Fed: Too early to tell free-trade impact on media

SYDNEY, Feb 9 AAP - It was too early to tell how the US Australia free trade deal would
affect the local media sector, an industry lobby group said today.

Under the deal struck overnight, the federal government said it had protected Australia's
right to ensure local content, and retain the capacity to regulate new and emerging media,
including digital and interactive TV.
